Pszczyna Village Homestead

Pszczyna Village Homestead

Pszczyna, Śląskie

Description

The Pszczyna Village Homestead (Zagroda Wsi Pszczyńskiej) is one of the most engaging open-air museums in the Silesian voivodeship. This ethnographic skansen gathers authentic rural structures from the Pszczyna area — timber cottages, barns, granaries, windmills, and farm outbuildings — carefully relocated and restored to form a living portrait of 19th-century village life.

Wandering through the homestead feels like stepping back in time. Visitors can explore furnished interiors with original household items, examine traditional agricultural and craft tools, and learn about the customs and folklore of the local Silesian community. During the warmer months, the museum hosts craft demonstrations and folk events that bring the entire site vividly to life.

An excellent destination for families and anyone keen to explore the cultural heritage of Upper Silesia.
